Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Solutions

Starting back in 1996, Prestige Cleaners began using an alternative drycleaning solution that’s gentle on garments, leaves no chemical odor, and is not considered hazardous by the EPA. We were the first in the Valley to adopt this solution.

Today, all our locations use DF 2000, which is nontoxic and biodegradable. It’s the best solution in the industry now, and we’re constantly on the lookout for even more improvements.

In 1999 Prestige was honored for being the first drycleaner in Arizona to adopt an environmentally friendly drycleaning solution, and for our innovative hanger-recycling program, with the Environmental Technology Award by the state of Arizona. But we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re always watching for new technology that will keep us “The Greener Cleaner.”

Hanger Recycling Program

Cleaning out your closet? Don’t throw away hangers from Prestige Cleaners. Instead, ask one of our staff members for a free hanger caddie. When full, return it and receive $1 off your next order.

This program helps alleviate the problem of 3.5 billion wire hangers that end up in landfills every year, totaling 312,000 pounds of steel. By recycling hangers, we all do our part for the environment.

And to keep up the recycling theme, any hangers we can’t use are made available free to any person or organization that wants them.

Poly Bags

We’re one of the few drycleaners in the state to offer biodegradable poly bags or the option of no poly bags. It’s just one more way Prestige Cleaners takes pride in helping serve the community and the earth.
